Every single month, I scroll through post after post on social media building up the next unprecedented celestial event of our lifetimes. From full moons to eclipses to retrogrades to planetary transits, there is so much hype and expectation of "THIS IS IT! THE BIG ONE WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! GRAB YOUR CRYSTALS, HIDE YOUR WIFE! WE'RE GOING PLAID!"
And then ... radio silence. No mention of how to integrate any of the incredible energy or the insights we gain. There is just nothing until we start hearing the next buzz about the most mega, super, sparkly pink moon of our lifetimes!
Around here, though, these celestial markers are like little power banks loading up my creative batteries. In the days following these events, I find easy and practical ways to ground the energy and get my hands and body moving so I can reflect, implement, and grow. No energy left hanging around, no insight left behind!
Over the past few nights, we've been blessed with the illumination of the Taurus Full Moon. With its blend of stability, sensuality, and practicality, this full moon invited us to pause, take stock, and appreciate the simple yet profound pleasures of life.
As a Sagittarius Sun with a Pisces Moon, I tend to get caught up in the big picture, chasing dreams and feelings without always pausing to appreciate where I am. But over the weekend, Taurus’ earthy pull reminded me to be present. I drew the Queen of Pentacles, the Seven of Pentacles, and the Four of Cups for myself, cards that practically shouted: "Cultivate gratitude and ground yourself in what you’ve already grown!"
For those new to astrology or tarot, or even if you’re a seasoned enthusiast, integrating the energy of a Full Moon in Taurus can be a grounding yet creative experience. Here's how I approached it and how you can too:
How to Integrate Full Moon in Taurus Energy
Whether you’re looking to integrate Taurus’ themes into your spiritual practice or your daily life, here are some unique and creative ideas. Think of these as tools to align with Taurus' steady, nurturing vibe while still leaving room for surprises.
Create a “Sensory Gratitude Ritual”
Taurus energy is deeply connected to the senses. Light a candle with a scent that comforts you, prepare a meal that feels like a hug, or simply sit outside and soak up the sounds of nature. While you do this, reflect on what you’re grateful for and make it as specific as possible! Instead of “I’m grateful for my home,” try “I’m grateful for the cozy corner by my window where I read.”
Creative Twist: Make a gratitude jar where you write down the things you're grateful for on small pieces of paper, but fill it only with sensory memories: “The smell of fresh lavender,” “The taste of warm cinnamon rolls,” “The sound of rain on the roof.” Get precious about it, because that's how you tap into the deep language of your senses!
Explore Your Relationship with Money and Abundance
Taurus rules the second house of finances and values, making this a perfect time to examine your money mindset. Pull out your tarot deck and ask:
What blocks my financial growth?
What does "enough" feel like to me?
How do I define success and abundance?
What is my next step toward that kind of abundance?
Creative Twist: Pair your tarot cards with a guided journaling session. For each card you pull, write out a question it inspires and answer it honestly. (For example, if you pull the Five of Pentacles, you might ask, “Where do I feel lack, and how can I shift my focus to abundance?”) Go deeper until you feel like you've unearthed something surprising.
Plan a Sensory Day or Hour
The Taurus Full Moon encourages us to rest and rejuvenate in luxurious ways. Dedicate a day - or an hour, if you're working on borrowed time these days - to indulging your senses. Use that fancy bath bomb you’ve been saving, wear your softest sweater, or take a long walk in a place that feeds your soul. The key is to fully immerse yourself in the experience, so that means no multitasking allowed (I say this as the queen of thinking I can multitask my way through life).
Creative Twist: Before your sensory day/hour, write a letter to your future self about how you’ll feel after giving yourself this gift of rest. Then read it after your day of indulgence, you’ll be surprised at how much the ritual reinforces your self-care.
Make a Roots and Wings Vision Board
Taurus energy is all about staying grounded while growing toward your goals. Create a vision board that reflects both: one half dedicated to your current joys and the other half to your aspirations. Use tactile elements like scraps of fabric, dried leaves, or pressed flowers to make it a truly Taurean masterpiece.
Creative Twist: Instead of traditional goals, focus on feelings. Ask yourself, "How do I want my life to feel in six months?" and craft your board accordingly.
Garden, Even If You Don’t Have a Yard
Taurus loves to nurture and grow things, so find a way to bring this energy into your home. Plant a few herbs in your kitchen, propagate a houseplant, or even create a tiny terrarium. As you work, think about what you’re “planting” in your life and what intentions you’d like to grow.
Creative Twist: Label your plants with affirmations. For example, your basil could symbolize “abundance,” and your lavender “peace.”
Closing the Circle: Integration Through Reflection
After your rituals, spend a few moments reflecting on what came up for you. Pull a final tarot card and ask, "How can I carry this Full Moon energy forward?" For me, it was the Knight of Pentacles, a gentle nudge to embrace steady progress over instant results.
Remember, Taurus teaches us that growth doesn’t have to be flashy, it can be slow, deliberate, and deeply rewarding. By integrating its energy, you’re building a foundation for future abundance, joy, and peace.
